Japan's catastrophic impact still lingers

The catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in Japan has certainly left its mark up in all of us.   Some have raised concerns about radiation exposure  and  The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and many other agencies and public health experts indicate that Japan's nuclear emergency presents no danger to the United States at this time.

Prevention is the better than cure

I read this article about a new drug on recall from drugs.com, and it made me wonder about how this affects all of us.  How can certain drugs be approved for circulation and marketed to be a cure and only to find out that it can only do worse for us than good.  Although, at some point its great to know that FDA does check and will make an annoucement  like"Healthcare professionals and consumers are encouraged to report adverse events or side effects related to the use of these products to the FDA's MedWatch Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program" .  But the question is how and why was it released.
Considering medicine is not cheap and even if let's say the money we used to pay for this medicines gets refunded it takes away the value of the money when it was purchased.  Plus not all have medical benefits.

Let us all reflect on what matters most

How many times have we heard someone say “we never know what will happen tomorrow”. When the tsunami happened in Japan, it made me think about how much we take for granted. Most of us work on things that need to be done when unforeseen situations happen such as calamities, accidents, and other situations that we are all afraid of happening. We read articles everyday about the after-effects of Japan and what is currently happening in Libya. Aren’t we all scared of what all this will bring us? I know I am and I believe you are too. I am afraid for my kids, family and for people that I care about. I am afraid of what the future holds for them.
